Mississauga Real Estate Agent Caryn Parchment

There are several excellent reasons why Mississauga Real Estate agent Caryn Parchment suggests Mississauga to her clients. First off, this is a thriving vibrant young city in the middle of one of the most prosperous and exciting areas in North America.

It is the 6th largest city in Canada.

The real estate there is bolstered by several different industries in the life sciences, manufacturing, technology, and food and beverage spaces. There are over 88,000 businesses in Mississauga employing almost 425,000 people.

The city is also home to the Pearson International Airport and the closest suburb to downtown Toronto.

Mississauga Neighborhood Profile

Unbeknownst to most of the world, Mississauga is the home to Pearson International Airport, often called Toronto Airport and is Toronto’s biggest neighbouring city. Travel to and from Mississauga and the airport are easy with highways 401, 407, 403, Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW), 409 and the 427 going through or around the city.  Also, the QEW turns into the Gardiner Expressway at the east end of the city, giving fast access to Toronto’s downtown core and major attractions.

Besides being a great city in which to live and work, Mississauga is also a great place to raise a family. It used to be considered a bedroom community for residents working in Toronto, but, it has evolved to be much more than that. The population of Mississauga has been rapidly expanding year over year, bringing its current population to 729,815. It is estimated that residency will increase by another 274,000 households by the year 2031.

Due to the economic industry focus in this city, the median household income is very high at just over $83,000. The number of high income earners in Mississauga , combined with all of the great features of the city contributes to the high real estate purchase and rental prices across the city.

Demographically, South Asians make up the largest visible minority here, representing 42.89% of the population. The Chinese are second with 54,090 people. All this diversity makes for a richer community that thousands are happy to call home.

Much like Markham, Mississauga has different regions within it, each with their own unique personality. Included are Streetsville, Cooksville and Port Credit, which features a great beach for summer fun.

If outdoor activity is important for your lifestyle, Mississauga has numerous parks and trails to traverse, including the beautiful lakefront trail that hugs Lake Ontario and stretches across the Toronto Harbourfront, and eastwards. Mississauga also offers several golf courses for light exercise and entertainment, including The Mississauga Golf and Country Club and Credit Valley Golf and Country Club.

If you’re looking for more activity, Mississauga has many attractions within its borders such as Skyzone Trampoline Park; Arcades HappyHour Entertainment in the Erin Mills Town Centre; Rama Gaming House – Mississauga; Kidsports Indoor Playground, Captive Escape Rooms Mississauga, Bad Axe Throwing Centre and more. Plus, since Mississauga abuts Toronto and other GTA regions, living here would give you easy access to all Greater Toronto Area attractions, including Canada’s Wonderland, CN Tower, Ripley’s Aquarium, Scotiabank Area and more.

For shopping, head over to Square One, a sprawling mall in the heart of Mississauga, which is home to world famous stores, other shops and a variety of dining options.
