Brampton Neighborhood Profile

If you move to Brampton, you’ll be making your home in one of the fastest-growing cities in Canada. Since 2011, the population has grown three times faster than other cities across the province, with the greatest percentage being newcomers to Canada.

As of the 2016 Canadian census, over 52% of the population was born outside of Canada, with most of the new arrivals coming from the Philippines, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and India.

If you’re looking for public transportation, Brampton is served by Brampton Transit which connects to MiWay Transit in Mississauga, York Regional Transit, the TTC and GO service, giving plenty options for travel without having to drive. It’s only 45 minutes from Brampton to downtown Toronto on the GO train, which makes it convenient for Brampton residents to work in or visit the great capital of Ontario.

If you prefer to drive, Brampton makes it easy to move around the GTA, with Highways 410 and 107 running through it, Highway 407 along it’s southern border and the 401, a short drive south of the 407.

Brampton offers a few entertainment venues like Playdium, Rollerplex Entertainment, Glow Zone 360 Laser Tag Centre, Aerosports Trampoline Park, CAA Centre – Sports & Entertainment Complex and Century Garden Recreational Centre; as well as several major convention centres. 

Outdoors, Brampton provides many large parks and trails such as Claire Conversation Area, Heart Lake Conservation Park, Conservation Drive Park, and Esker Lake Trail.

As of April 2022, Brampton has 40 new home developments. They include low-rise and high-rise as well as family homes and townhouses. The total pre-construction in Brampton includes 23 single-family homes and a full 257 units that are under construction.

Paradise Heights is one of the developments that’s in the pre-construction phase. It is being built in one of Brampton’s more established neighbourhoods, offering single-family homes and townhouses.

 A great benefit of living in this neighbourhood is its proximity to Heart Lake, at the junction of Kennedy and Mayfield Road. 

Duo Condos is another development in the pre-construction phase. These condominiums will have a total of 350 units and be located at 245 Steeles Ave. W. 

Another Condominium coming soon is CityPointe Heights by Poetry Living, to Gore Road and Highway 7. It will be a condominium development that will change the landscape of East Brampton in an established community, connected to Vaughan, Brampton and Toronto.
